Years ago, I cared for many gardens on my small parcel of earth. Each garden was a reminder of someone or something that I held dear. Memorial gardens for the many four leggeds who blessed my life. There was a reading garden, meditation garden and a garden for the birds and squirrels and other living things.
This picture is from my Zulu garden … my ‘Rock With A Heart’ dog … he made me feel safe in a world that often makes women hesitate to venture out alone. We traveled thousands of miles across America, making friends along the way and sharing memories that comfort me to this day.
These sweet flowers remind me … even in my darkest, coldest nights … I am still growing, still stretching and reaching and seeking to become that most beautiful creature that is uniquely me.
